The 8” Chef Knife is the most versatile blade in the kitchen, built for slicing, dicing, and chopping with ease. Forged in Thiers, France, by a 5th-generation bladesmith, this knife combines the durability of German steel with the razor-sharp precision of Japanese blades.
This blade features an asymmetric double bevel with a 14° primary micro bevel on the front and a 4° polishing bevel on the reverse—resulting in a total cutting angle of just 18°. The result? Twice the sharpness, less maintenance, and effortless cutting power.
Unlike standard knives that dull unevenly, the optimized edge geometry keeps this blade sharper for longer, requiring just a few strokes of a honing rod on the reverse side for maintenance. And even though the blade is asymmetrical, it's been carefully designed to feel intuitive for both right- and left-handed chefs.
Crafted with a full tang, fully forged construction, this knife is finished with a Black ABS or Olive Wood handle, offering enhanced impact resistance, durability, and a secure grip.
What Is a Chef's Knife Used for?
Our Chef’s Knife is perfect for kitchen tasks like dicing, mincing, boning, precision cuts and plenty more. This is a great knife for just about anything home cooks and professional chefs alike are interested in making.
What Material Is a Chef's Knife Made of?
Our Chef Knife is made from X50CrMoV15 Stainless Steel, which helps make ours high quality and maintain a super sharp edge that does not need to be sharpened as often. Lower quality knives you might find at Henkels, Wusthof classic, or shun, feature high carbon, which will have you pulling out your whetstone more often.
What is Asymmetrical Bevel Tech?
Asymmetrical Bevel Tech, or ABT™, is a revolutionary edge geometry that sharpens the knife at a 14° angle on one side and a 4° polished angle on the other. Unlike traditional double-bevel blades, this asymmetrical profile reduces resistance as you cut, allowing the blade to glide through food with twice the sharpness and dramatically smoother, more controlled cuts. And even though the blade is asymmetrical, it's been carefully designed to feel intuitive for both right- and left-handed chefs.
- Hand Wash Only, Dry Immediately
- ABT knives can be sharpened like any other knife. The knives have a particularly fine sharpened edge. They can be maintained like any traditional knife with a good quality steel or diamond sharpening steel, or water stones designed for sharpening knife blades. For ease and perfect results, we recommend sharpening only the opposite side of the visible cutting edge (back side for a right-handed person) by applying a shallow angle.
