Cool a batch of cookies at 3pm, roast a chicken at 6. The Made In Cooling & Roasting Wire Rack is one wire rack that does both, because it is oven safe all the way to 1200°F. Most cooling racks cannot go in the oven at all, and the ones that can top out long before a roast gets hot. This one clears any oven and any broiler.

As a cooling rack, it lifts cookies, cakes, and bread off the counter so carryover heat and steam escape from underneath, and the bottoms stay crisp instead of going soggy. As a roasting rack, the same wire lifts a turkey, a pork shoulder, or a tray of vegetables off the pan so heat circulates all the way around and the edges brown instead of stewing in their own juices.

The difference is the material. This is electropolished stainless steel, not a chrome plate that rusts or a nonstick coating that wears off and caps out around 400°F. There is nothing to flake or scratch, so the surface at year five is the surface on day one, and it rinses clean.

It measures 13.5 by 8.5 inches, fits inside the Made In roasting pans, and drops into a standard sheet pan or most other roasters. Dishwasher safe.

Does a Roasting Pan Need a Rack?

While it’s not essential for a Roasting Pan to come with a rack, we believe this makes all the difference when it comes to roasting, broiling, and cooking in a Roasting Pan. This allows for the drippings of your protein to drip down onto the bed of onions, veggies, or potatoes to make for an overall more flavorful dish.

How Do I Clean the Roasting Rack?

Our Stainless Steel Roasting Pan Rack is not dishwasher safe, so hand wash only with a non-abrasive sponge, dish soap, and and warm water. Clean immediately with a soft rag and put away.
